CapitOx Consulting Group is excited to announce the launch of its latest initiative, Breaking Into Consulting (BIC), designed to empower members with the knowledge and tools to enhance their applications to top consulting firms. BIC will focus on key areas such as CV building, cover letter writing, and case interview preparation. The resources that we have compiled can all be found on this website.
A series of speakers from Tier 1 and Tier 2 firms will be invited to talk about their consulting experience, how their academic background has supported their work, and their top tips for aspiring consultants. These events are usually under an hour and are a great way to learn about the industry. Additionally, you can speak about these events in your cover letters, especially if the speaker is from a firm that you have applied to.
An interactive case study session in which one member of the CapitOx committee could volunteer to be interviewed by a senior consultant from a top firm. Toward the end of the exercise, the consultant will outline the interviewee's strengths and weaknesses and answer questions from the audience. The duration of these events is 2 hours, with the first hour consisting of the case and the second hour consisting of audience feedback.
